چکیده
* This work was funded by SK Telecom under Contract Number KU-R0405721 to Korea University. Abstract— Tag collision arbitration for passive RFID tags is significant for fast identification. This paper presents an adaptive memoryless tag anti-collision protocol which is an improvement on the query tree protocol. To identify tags efficiently, we use information about tags the reader already know. We evaluate how many collisions can be reduced by the proposed protocol over the query tree protocol.

A Memory Efficient Anti-Collision Protocol to Identify Memoryless RFID Tags
This paper presents a memory efficient tree based anti-collision protocol to identify memoryless RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags that may be attached to products. The proposed deterministic scheme utilizes two bit arrays instead of stack or queue and requires only Θ(n) space, which is better than the earlier schemes that use at least O(n2) space, where n is the length of a tag ID in ...
متن کاملInfluence of the Distribution of Tag IDs on RFID Memoryless Anti-Collision Protocols
In recent years, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has become very popular. The main feature of this technology is that RFID tags do not require close handling and no line of sight is required between the reader and the tags. RFID is a technology that uses radio frequencies in order to identify tags, which do not need to be positioned accurately relative to the reader. Tags share the commun...
متن کاملQT-CBP: A New RFID Tag Anti-collision Algorithm Using Collision Bit Positioning
The ability to recognize many tags simultaneously is crucial for many advanced RFID-based applications. The tag anti-collision algorithm of an RFID system, which arbitrates collisions on the air interface among tags in the same reading range of a reader, makes a great influence on the speed and the reliability in multiple tag recognition. This paper presents a new memoryless tag anti-collision ...
متن کاملA Improved Frame Slotted Aloha Protocol with Early End in Mobile RFID Systems
Frame slotted ALOHA (FSA) protocol is a classic tag anti-collision protocol. Similar to most existing anti-collision protocols, The FSA initially aims at tag identification of static scenarios, that is, all tags keep still during the tag identification process. However, in many real scenarios, tags generally move along a fixed path in the reader coverage area, that is, tags stay the coverage ar...
متن کاملAdaptive splitting and pre-signaling for RFID tag anti-collision
— In an RFID system a reader requests tags to send their IDs by RF signal backscattering for the purpose of identification. When multiple tags respond to the request simultaneously, tag collisions occur and the tag identification performance is degraded. There are several tag anti-collision protocols proposed for reducing tag collisions. The protocols can be categorized into three classes: ALOH...
